ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa is part of the ExecuJet MRO Services Group, a Dassault Aviation owned company and is a leading provider of aircraft maintenance and repair services catering to VIP and private jet clientele across the African continent. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility at Lanseria, the hangar is equipped to handle the largest private aircraft and adheres to the highest aviation safety and operational standards.

The Challenge

ExecuJet MRO Services had previously upgraded its lighting system using 368 retrofit LED luminaires (100W each). However, the solution fell short in several critical areas:

  •   High Energy Costs Low system efficiency, no daylight harvesting or occupancy sensing meant excessive power consumption.
  •   Frequent Maintenance: LED failures and rapid lumen degradation led to costly, disruptive replacements.
  •   Access Limitations: Aircraft under maintenance restricted access to high-mounted fixtures, complicating repairs and replacements.
  •   Excessive maintenance cost: Every LED lamp replaced on an annual basis
