Control Gear box: DMC glass fibre reinforced polyester, compression moulded in two
sections. Eurothane coated for extra corrosion protection in chemical
atmospheres.
Gasket: Silicone gasket for long life, and chemical resistance.
Control Gear tray: A galvanised control gear tray, mounted into the top of the control
gear housing, which carries the weight of the control gear.
Control Gear: Options are 400 Watt and 250 Watt, High Pressure Sodium;
Metal Halide, and Mercury. The choke is not encapsulated, allowing
for easy replacement.
Ignitor: A Ignitor with cut out device, prevents continuous striking when
the lamp becomes faulty. Requires resetting after a lamp change.
Construction: The die cast aluminium lampholder casting is mounted on the lower
half of the control gear housing which opens to allow access to the
Ex n terminal block rated 4mm². The control gear tray is mounted
into the lid via the suspension inserts. The suspension means carries
the weight of the control gear. The housing is just an enclosure, rated
IP 66.
Reflector: A 4 mm thick tempered armour plate glass is spun into the bright
anodised aluminium reflector. Gasketing ensures the IP 66 rating.
Lamps: The reflector is designed for optimum efficiency using eliptical lamps
with E40 thread.
Lamp holder: The E40 lamp holder has an anti-vibration device to prevent the lamp
becoming loose.
Mounting: Blind M6 inserts in the lid section, take either suspension hooks which
are supplied, or a flat mounting bracket for ceiling mounting.
Gland: Supplied with a compression gland as standard. Armoured cable,
requires a special gland to be confirmed with order, as an extra.
