NTHP LEDEx T6 luminaire explosion-protected LED floodlight

The NTHP LEDEx T6 luminaire is a high-performance, explosion-protected LED floodlight built for hazardous and industrial environments. Constructed from die-cast aluminium with a tempered glass lens, it offers IP66 and IK08 protection, plus 4kV surge resistance. With 104 lm/W efficacy, it delivers energy-efficient illumination across mining, oil & gas, and industrial applications.
It is the first luminaire of its kind in South Africa to achieve a T6 temperature rating in a non-flameproof enclosure certified for Zone 1 hazardous areas. This breakthrough is significant because T6-rated luminaires must ensure that their surface temperature does not exceed 85°C, which is critical in environments with volatile gases or sensitive materials. Traditionally, achieving this rating required bulky flameproof designs. Nordland’s patented engineering allows the NTHP LEDEx T6 to meet these stringent safety standards while maintaining a compact, efficient, and innovative design—setting a new benchmark for hazardous area lighting in the region ( NL76 )
