Body: Cast iron
Lens Ring: Cast iron
Construction: The lens ring and body have a
machined flame path on the flanged joints.
The 8mm thick glass is cemented into the lens
ring and mechanically held in place by a circlip.
The glass dome is protected by means of a
heavy wire guard. A hinge allows the lens ring to
be suspended from the body to relamp. Four
countersunk hex head screws hold the ring in
place.
Entries: Specify - 1 way or 3 way
Glands: not supplied, must be FLP and to
the correct size of cable installed.
Incandescent: E27 Lampholder.

Control Gear Options
1. Xenon lamp, either 10-30V DC or 110 alternatively 220V AC
2. Incandescent flasher 24-80V DC or 110/220V AC
3. Lens colours, Blue, Red, Green or Amber
Mounting: 10mm Diameter threaded blind socket for an eyebolt or plate
Option: LM4 Aluminium in 100 series only. Mounting, lug with 10 mm diameter hole centrally positioned.

Enclosures are divided into the following main groups -
Group I
For use underground in mines i.e. for use in the presence of methane (fire damp);
Group II
For use above ground and subdivided according to their suitability for use in atmospheres containing specific gases
and vapours as shown in the following table.

Industrial methane includes methane mixed with not more
than 10% (v/v) of hydrogen.
Town gas may contain not more the 57% (v/v) of hydrogen
and not more than 16% (v/v) of carbon monoxide, the
remainder being a mixture of paraffin hydrocarbons and
inert gas.
