Control Gear Housing: The die cast aluminium housing acts as the base for mounting the control
gear components. Blind M6 holes enable the use of suspension hooks or act
as mounting points for a ceiling bracket. Three by M8 threaded holes at the lip
of the housing hold the frame securing screws.
Glass support ring: The borosilicate glass bowl is supported in a die cast aluminium frame by
mechanical means and sealed into position with silicone. The sealing of the
frame and control gear housing, is achieved by three screws which easily in
locate the keyhole slots on the lip of the frame.
Gasket: A circular gasket of silicone ensures the IP65 rating, over the long life of the
component, at elevated operating and ambient temperatures.
Lampholder: A porcelain lamp holder with anti-vibration device is supplied. Either E40 or
E27, depending on the lamp of choice.
Gland: The control gear housing is threaded 20 mm to accept a standard gland.
The fitting is supplied with compression gland. Steel armoured cable requires
the appropriate gland.
Control Gear: 230V. 50Hz, mercury or sodium depending on the lamp of choice.
Ignitor: An Ignitor is used for High Pressure Sodium lamps of greater that
70 Watts.
Lamps: Wide range of lamps sizes available, up to 150 Watt HPS and 250 Watt
Mercury.
Mounting: Supplied with M6 chain suspension hooks. Suitable for use with a wall/ceiling
bracket.
Construction: The two aluminium castings are screwed together to form a single unit.
The Glass frame hangs on a stainless steel cord, when opened, during lamp
changing.
Remote Box: Wattages 250 MV and 250 W HPS, require a remote mounted control gear box.
